Meet at Room 330 30 minutes before your session is scheduled to start and bring a pen or pencil. You will get your assignment sheet and any last minute training or schedule changes.
Introduce yourself to the moderator (their name is on your assignment sheet) and the SlidesLive engineer who will be in the back of the room.
There will be a laptop running Windows 10 with Adobe Acrobat Reader installed at the podium. On that laptop, visit the conference schedule, e.g. https://icml.cc/virtual/2022/calendar. Find the oral session you're supporting (See screenshot).
Open the page for the oral session. See screenshot below. On this page, there is a blue button on the left that will download all available slide decks in PDF format for the presentations in the session in the correct order.
Open the PDF if Adobe Acrobat Reader and set Acrobat into Full Screen Mode (in the View menu).
Reserve the first row in the room for presenting authors. We have signs available that you can place on the seats.
Your job is to call the authors up in the correct order. They will present from the laptop using these slide deck you downloaded. Your assignment sheet will list the papers in the order they are to presented.
The moderator will handle the Q&A and will keep the session on time.
If an author is not present to present, ask SlidesLive (who will be in the back of the room) over the microphone if there is a pre-recorded video for this talk. If so, play the video. If there is no author and no video, then skip the talk.
