¶ Lead Scanning
The examples in this document are for NeurIPS, but the process is the same for all our conferences. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AISTATS, MLSys
¶ Badges
Most attendee badges will have a QR code in the upper right corner
¶ Scanning Contacts
Your company's team is everyone who is listed in the Assign Exhibitor Badges section of your sponsor portal. All the leads scanned by your team are visible to all team members
To scan your team members will need
- A mobile device (smart phone or tablet) and be logged in to their account on the conference website on that device.
- QR Code Software app
- Camera App: Both the iOS and Android native camera apps support QR code scanning
- You can also install a dedicated QR scanner such as Scandit for iOS and Android
After you scan the QR code on an attendees badge your mobile device will open a page on the conference website. See a sample screen shot below for NeurIPS
¶ Keywords
You can create keywords by clicking on the Manage Tags (Keywords) button. Keywords are shared with your entire team
You can then apply the keywords to the contacts after you scan them. In the example above there are two keywords “Test Tag” and “NeurIPS Staff”
¶ Your Team Scanned Contact List
Anyone on your company's team can down the team contact list. Visit the Lead Scanning page in your sponsor/exhibitor portal
That page will list all you scanned contacts, see the example below
¶ Editing your Team scanned contact list
Anyone on your team can
- Remove a contact by clicking the red X to the right of their name
- Add and remove Keywords by clicking on the Manage Tags (Keywords) button
- Change the Keywords of a contact by clicking in the Keywords Column
- Download all the contacts by clocking on the XLSX button. See the screen shot below to see the columns in the download
¶ Other Scanned contacts
Other members of your company may also scan contacts but those contacts will only appear in their personal contact list and not be added to the team list. The can download then at conference-site/public/LogContact
