As a workshop, social or affinity group or other organizer you may want to create a Gather Town room for either an informal get-together area. If you are interested in creating a poster session using Gather Town visit then visit [Creating a Gather Town Poster Session]. Creating a simple Gather Town space with a single room is easy. There are two ways to implement this: one is to use a predefined "large lounge" Gather Town template and then the system will automatically create the space in Gather Town sometime before the conference; the second way is to create your own Gather Town space on the Gather Town website using Gather Town's mapmaker and then register your space with the conference. Technically you don't even need to register the space with the conference however this means that the space will not use the conferences authorization scheme and this is also the easiest way for the conference to identify the room to Gather Town in order pay for the space and to give the room extra capacity for the size of the conference.
If you would like to create a completely custom GatherTown space see create custom gathertown spaces using MapMaker.
