With the advent of virtual and hybrid conferences many presentations may now be pre-recorded and streamed either live during an in-person event, streamed live during a virtual event on the website, or streamed on-demand on the website (often a combination of all three). Even for a planned in-person live presentation a pre-recorded video is recommended as a backup in case the in-person presentation is not available.
A few days before the conference starts pre-recorded videos will become available on the conference web page for each event.
SlidesLive video recording invitations are sent out depending upon whether they have been requested by the conference chairs or, if the conference decides to support it, by workshop organizers. It is critical that each video is associated with a specific conference event and the email address of the speakers or authors for the event are associated with the event. Therefore before any invitations are sent out a conference event must be created on the website and that event must be marked as needing a pre-recorded video. Periodically during the conference planning stage SlidesLive will poll the conference events and email invitations to the speakers or authors of events needing a pre-recording. Each invitation contains a recording link for recording/uploading a video for the event. After SlidesLive has sent the invitations then the recording link is also copied back to the conference website. This entire process may take several days to complete.
After recording links are available in the website they may be found in two places. One is on the my-stuff page for each speaker/author. The other spot is on the schedule_editor page used by a workshop organizer. Workshop organizers should feel free to resend these recording links as necessary to speakers who have not received their invitation.
First check your spam folders to see if the invitation went into a spam folder for your email. Next is to check your my-stuff page for a speaker or authors account. If you see the event on your my-stuff page but no recording link then either the link hasn't been sent yet, or the event wasn't requested to have a pre-recording.
If you don't see the event on your my-stuff page then it may be associated with a different email than the one you are logged in with. If you can find the event elsewhere, like on the papers page, on the website with your name as one of the authors/speakers then it's definitely the case that it's associated with a different email. Check the emails you have entered at CMT or OpenReview for alternative email addresses. If your presentaton is in a workshop then check with the workshop organizers. Otherwise contact support on the help page. Once you have determined the email associated with an event you may link your two email accounts together, see linked-accounts.
SlidesLive videos may be available to embed on alternative websites 30-60 days after the conference. Instructions for embedding SlidesLive videos after they are available publicly are here.
