SlidesLive may provide robotic cameras which may be used for streaming some events at a conference. The stream is available to virtual attendees on the various event pages for the conference virtual website. These cameras track the speaker at the podium. Using these cameras and a volunteer or organizer to select the streaming content provides significant savings for the conference at minimal volunteer effort. Along with the robotic camera is a laptop and stream deck device which are provided by SlidesLive.
A brief video introduction is availeble organizers to operate the live stream.
Workshops, Competitions, Expos, and various other organizers may be asked to provide volunteers for operating the streaming. These volunteer streaming engineers can be specified on the Organizer Admin pages. To specify an organizer as a streaming engineer click on the Workshop Details change page. At the bottom of the Workshop Details change page is a list of the workshop organizers with a checkbox by each one for "Streaming Engineer Role", check this box and press Save to identify the streaming engineers. It is recommended that more than one organizer be identified for streaming engineer, in fact all organizers may be specified as a streaming engineer.
A volunteer or other conference organizer may be required to manage the selection of the stream for presentation to virtual attendees.
